Super-Grip Snake Tongs
These Super Grip Snake Tongs were designed by zoo professionals and leaders in the herp field to protect, both, the user and the animal. Testing has determined that extraordinary pressure applied at the grip in a period of excitement should not harm a healthy animal. Unlike the “old style” tongs that exerted extreme pressure in all the wrong places and resulted in many serious injuries to the animal. Made from heavy duty aluminum construction that will provide years of service. They have no exposed cables or springs. The Deluxe Super Grip Tongs are cast iron (hand grip only) and then the upper grip has been dipped in rubber. Both types of tongs weigh less than 2lbs.
The 40″ collapsible Super Grip Snake Tong has the same hand and snake grip as the deluxe version. Please note, the pin that is located near the handle has to be released before attempting to collapse the snake tong. The snake tong will then fold in half making storage easy. To extend the tong simply connect the two center pieces, making sure that the wire is underneath and then insert the pin to hold it together.
ACES Snake Hooks
Recommended for experienced handlers. Our standard 40 Snake Hook is a very gentle tool for restraint and lifting of most snakes (if youre not skilled with Snake Hooks, we generally recommend our Snake Tongs). The collapsible version is ideal for compact storage or travel. Our 2 wide by 4 long Heavy-duty Hook is designed for use on large, heavy-bodied snakes such as constrictors or pythons. Will safely and humanely handle the largest snake.
New to the Humaniactm range of equipment is our Bag-a-Snake, featuring an aluminum triangular frame with a 26″ long detachable handle, assembled length is 39.5″ long and the width of the head is 15″. Weighing approximately 1.5lbs without a bag and 2lbs when the bag is attached. The bag is 44″ deep and made out of a double layer black cotton. Bag is secured to the frame via Velcro® taping all around the opening of the bag. Snake can be secured in the bag by tiring the attached ties.
